SPIRITED PERFORMANCE
The new Nissan X-Trail crossover powers every adventure with a spirited 4 cylinder 1.6 litre engine that kicks out 163PS at 5600rpm and 240Nm at 4000rpm. Available only in 2WD form, the petrol X-Trail is fitted with the 6 speed manual transmission.
DIESEL ENGINE
SMART POWER
The advanced 1.6 litre dCi 130 engine is tuned for heavy-duty performance while offering enhanced fuel economy and lower CO₂ emissions. Nissan’s intelligent Stop/Start system switches the engine off when it’s not needed – at traffic lights, for example – to save fuel, then smoothly and quickly restarts it when you want to pull away.
XTRONIC CVT
Xtronic, Nissan's electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), is available on the 2WD diesel X-Trail. Eliminating fixed gear ratios, Xtronic delivers a seamless wave of power. In its latest form, friction is reduced by up to 40% and the range of ratios is greater than on some 8 speed conventional automatics. There's also a new 'ECO' mode, improving economy at the touch of a switch.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION
6 speed manual transmission keeps you close to the action. Triplecone synchronizers make for brisk and precise shifting. While a smaller rpm drop with each upshift means a seamless response to your demands.
ALL-MODE 4x4-i
READY FOR THE ROAD – OR THE OFF-ROAD
The Nissan X-Trail's All-Mode 4x4-i can handle all your driving needs, whether it's a night out on the town or a camping trip in the wilds.
INTUITIVE 4 WHEEL DRIVE
On-road or off-road, the X-Trail is a capable operator. You can engage full-time two-wheel drive for maximum efficiency, while in 4x4-i Auto Mode your X-Trail monitors the conditions and aportions power between front and rear wheels for the best traction. The 4WD Lock Mode is ideal if conditions are more challenging.

SMOOTH OPERATOR
Whether you’re slowing for a corner or coming to a stop, Active Engine Braking uses the Xtronic transmission to apply engine braking for smoother and more reassuring deceleration.
FEAR NO BUMP
If you hit a bump, the Active Ride Control on the new Nissan X-Trail crossover automatically applies the brakes and adjusts engine torque.
HILL STARTS MADE EASY
Hill Start Assist stops your X-Trail from rolling backwards by holding the brake long enough for you to switch your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator.
ADDED TRACTION
The Active Brake Limited Slip system senses wheelspin and applies braking pressure to any slipping wheels, while redirecting power to the wheels with the best traction.
CORNER CONFIDENTLY
Active Trace Control improves cornering. It reads the situation and brakes each wheel individually to help you steer through the turn with confidence.
