Whatever the load, whatever the hill, you've got power to spare with the Nissan NT400 Cabstar. The twin-cam 2.5 litres turbodiesel engine is an advanced common-rail direct-injection design, available in three different outputs. For heavy loads, you can specify a lower-ratio back axle, and a limited-slip differential is optional on all twin-rear-wheel models – handy to maintain grip on ice or mud.
ADVANCED DIESEL TECHNOLOGY
The NT400 Cabstar's engines meet current Euro5B+ emissions regulations. A particulate filter reduces the amount of diesel particles released into the atmosphere, and has automatic and manual regeneration to keep it working at peak efficiency.
THE POWER YOU WANT, WHERE YOU WANT IT
YD25 LO
The Low Output YD25, available with 2,8 tonnes; 3,2 tonnes; 3,4 tonnes and 3,5 tonnes NT400 Cabstar, delivers 121PS, and 250Nm of torque at 1600-2800rpm, and turns in a lively performance and good economy.
YD25 MO
For the Medium Output YD25, power takes a leap to 136PS. There's 270Nm of torque at 1600-3200rpm – ample engine power to cope with the payload of the twin-rear-wheel models.
YD25 HO
For heavier loads and demanding terrain, the High Output YD25 is available on the 3,5 tonnes and 4,5 tonnes NT400 Cabstar. Output is 145PS, with 350Nm of torque at 1600-2800rpm. The engine is 45kg lighter than its predecessor and has lower fuel consumption.
