A HISTORY OF WINNING
In 1936, a 747cc Datsun took the chequered flag for the first time in the marque's history. Nissan, which owns the Datsun name, hasn’t stopped racing — and winning — since. DECADES OF RACING PROWESS
NISMO has been the in-house racing arm of Nissan since it was set up in 1984 by a group of free-spirited Nissan engineers. The NISMO name is synonymous with passion, expertise, and the heights of Nissan performance — not to mention decades of racing experience.
PERFORMANCE
TOUGHER THAN EVER
Engineered to exacting standards, windtunnel-tested and competition-inspired, the Nissan Juke NISMO RS brings together decades of knowledge learnt on the race track. It's the ultimate performance crossover.
ALL-MODE 4X4-i
Traditional all-wheel-drive systems distribute power front to back. The Nissan Juke NISMO RS is not traditional, so it has a torque vectoring system that sends power to each wheel individually.
POWER BOOST
The advanced 1,6 litre DIG-T petrol engine in the Juke NISMO RS has been specially tuned to boost power to 218PS (160kW) for 2WD and 214PS (157kW) for 4WD. Torque in the two-wheel-drive manual version is increased from an already impressive 250Nm to 280Nm.
ONE FINAL NOTE
A specially designed exhaust gives the NISMO RS added growl and performance. A large-bore pipe and a more free-flowing silencer give a deeper bass tone that hints at the car's racing roots.
TRANSMISSIONS
SHIFT LIKE A RACER
On the top-of-range 4WD Juke NISMO RS, Nissan's cutting-edge electronically controlled Xtronic transmission is mated to a track-bred paddle shift gearchange.
Race-style paddle shifts mean that you can make ultra-fast gearchanges with just a twitch of your fingers.
MANUAL CONTROL
Control is king and the 6 speed gearbox keeps you close to the action. On the 2WD Nissan Juke NISMO RS,uprated first and second gear synchromesh makes for brisk and precise shifting, and close-ratio gears keep you in the engine’s sweet spot. NISMO RS models feature a helical-cut limited-slip front differential.
LET YOUR FINGERS DO THE SHIFTING
Unlike traditional automatic cars, the Nissan Juke’s Xtronic transmission delivers a seamless wave of power. On the Nissan Juke NISMO RS you can enjoy the added thrill of 8 step gearing with paddle shifters.
SUPERIOR HANDLING
MOTORSPORT-INSPIRED
We tuned the steering, and dropped the suspension. We also equipped the car with performance tyres and 18" rims, all in the name of taking Nissan Juke NISMO RS to a higher level.
REINFORCEMENTS
The enhanced driving dynamics of the Nissan Juke NISMO RS are backed up by a torsionally stiffer body and chassis. This gives the NISMO RS more precise steering and suspension control.
BRAKES
We boosted performance and horsepower for the Nissan Juke NISMO RS, so the brakes needed the same treatment. We enhanced the car's stopping power with bigger discs up front, vented discs all-round, to keep everything cool, and upgraded brake pads. Even the calipers, painted in NISMO red, make a statement.
SPORT PERFORMANCE
Sport Performance tyres wrapped around a set of low-profile 10 spoke smoked alloy rims give the Nissan Juke NISMO RS increased traction and performance in both the wet and dry.
EXTERIOR DESIGN
A QUESTION OF ATTITUDE
Inheriting design details from Nissan's ultimate supercar – the GT-R – we redesigned the front and rear bumpers, adding a rear diffuser and a modified rear spoiler. We also lowered the sill mouldings. The end result: greater downforce and an even more aerodynamic profile.
NISMO RED MIRROR COVERS
The Juke NISMO RS comes with vibrant NISMO Red mirror caps that let everyone know that this isn’t your standard Nissan Juke.
RED PINSTRIPING
A matching NISMO Red pinstripe runs from the prominent upper edge of the lower grille to the car's front wheelarches, dropping dramatically to curve around the smaller vents on the way.
INTERIOR DESIGN
BOLDER ON THE INSIDE
Inside the Juke NISMO RS the message is race-inspired high-performance. Sports bucket front seats have embroidered synthetic suede trim. The steering wheel has a special NISMO leather and Alcantara rim. The Juke NISMO isn't shy about showing its sporting heritage.
ALCANTARA AND LEATHER
The exclusive NISMO RS interior features a steering wheel with a black Alcantara and leather rim and a race-inspirted red straght-ahead marker – along with a red-stitched gearlever knob.
NISMO RS TACHOMETER
Driving home the sporting message, the tachometer on the NISMO RS has a bright red dial.
RACE-TRACK TOUCHES
The Juke NISMO RS has race-inspired Recaro front seats, carbonfibre-look trim,and a suede-effect instrument hood with NISMO Red stitching.
