NISMO has been the in-house racing arm of Nissan since it was set up in 1984 by a group of free-spirited Nissan engineers. The NISMO name is synonymous with passion, expertise, and the heights of Nissan performance — not to mention decades of racing experience.

The Nissan GT-R NISMO’s suspension is tuned for stunning agility, roadholding and handling, without compromising refinement. The custom-developed Bilstein DampTronic dampers at front and rear are specially made to deliver progressive handling responses – even on the limit.

The metallic-black six-spoke forged lightweight aluminum 20in wheels are inspired by those of the legendary Nissan GT500 racer, and feature internal knurling to keep the tyre from slipping on the rim under heavy acceleration or braking.

The high-mounted rear spoiler with its centre pillar is made of carbonfibre with an exposed weave. It's part of a fine-tuned aerodynamic package that improves downforce whilst maintaining the GT-R’s 0.26 co-efficient of drag.

The lightweight yet incredibly strong carbonfibre front panel and spoiler increases downforce, and its full-width design helps cut drag.

The carbonfibre sills on the NISMO continue the work started at the front of the car – generating an additional 220lbs of downforce compared to the standard Nissan GT-R.

The elongated and tapered carbonfibre rear bumper helps cut the GT-R NISMO's drag coefficient down to 0.26 and ensures downforce is equalised front to rear.

The instrument panel has a carbonfibre finish and an Alcantara-covered cowl, and the rev-counter has a red face.

NISMO racing drivers influenced the design of the three-spoke steering wheel. It's covered in grippy Alcantara, and has a red centre mark and red stitching.

Change gear in style. The Nissan GT-R NISMO’s red leather shift knob moves in a red-stitched housing set into a carbonfibre-finished console.
