NISSAN NV400 VAN PERFORMANCE
POWER AND EFFICIENCY IN PERFECT BALANCE
POWER TO THE FOREFRONT
The base engine for front-wheel-drive versions of the Nissan NV400 is an efficient 110PS 2.3 litres turbo-diesel. It delivers low full consumption and has plenty of useable power.
The 125PS engine is available only on fwd models and gives extra power while still being capable of impressive fuel economy. It’s a great choice to get the performance you need while keeping operating costs in check.
DOUBLE THE BOOST
On the twin-turbo 135PS engine the smaller turbocharger boosts low-speed torque and the larger turbo gives extra mid-range power. Add to that energy-efficient technologies such as Start/Stop and regenerative braking, and you have quite a drivetrain.
The 150PS unit uses a single variable-geometry turbo to boost performance. It's ideal if you're planning to carry heavy loads.
The 165PS engine again uses twin turbochargers for maximum torque all through the rev range. For the biggest rear-drive NV400s it's the perfect power unit.
As well as Euro6-compliant twin-turbo 145PS and 170PS engines, the NV400 boasts a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system on the exhaust to further cut down on emissions.
Rear-wheel-drive models use a twin-turbo version of the 2,3 litres engine available in either 135PS or 165PS form. Start/Stop technology and regenerative braking help lower fuel consumption. The 2,3 litres 150PS comes with the robotized gearbox.
A FORCE TO RECKON WITH
Incorporating twin turbochargers, one small and one larger, the 135PS engine boosts torque output at low rpm – when you need maximum power for acceleration, or for when towing.
The 165PS version of the NV400’s 2.3-litre engine offers impressive torque whilst keeping fuel consumption under control. That’s the benefit of the sophisticated twin-turbo system.
